A Perfect Drawing Register - Guaranteed

Today’s digital design teams produce high volumes of drawings. Ensuring that everyone on the project is working from the most current version is essential to prevent costly errors and rework.  The Drawing Management solution combines technology and sophisticated document preparation services to assure a perfect drawing register.

The process starts when the design team releases a new set of drawings.  The document preparation specialists perform a detailed quality control check to assure all information is correct.  They review each drawing file and verify that the drawing matches the drawing index, the transmittal and is complete.  When discrepancies are identified, they issue a discrepancy report and then work with the design team to correct discrepancies before the drawings are released.

After all discrepancies are resolved, they enter the drawing attributes into the DocuPro
system, print a final approval report and then release the drawing set after receiving the final approval.  The system creates the current set of the drawings shown above and sends automatic notification to all users that a new release is available.  The users can then quickly access the updated drawing information on their laptops, tablets or phones.

No More Excuses For Users Having The Wrong Version!

Embedded Sketches

When sketches are released between drawing revisions it can be difficult for users to track which drawings have sketches especially since they are in separate PDF Files.

In order to prevent users from viewing a drawing without seeing the related sketch, the system automatically embeds the sketch into the related drawing’s PDF file.  This process assures that when the user views a drawing that they always can see the sketch attached as additional pages.

The users always have related sketches even if they downloads, emails or print the drawing.

No More Mistakes Due To a Missing or Lost Sketch!

Links to Related Documents

When drawings reference a detail, section, elevation or other relevant document, the system maintains the relationship so that users can quickly navigate from the drawing to see the related information.

The system also allows the user to navigate to the Addenda, RFI, Change Order or other release so that they can see all related information and documents.
